Re: The "Gears" Crowdsource Library

Gonna be all over this, got a whole bunch of kids toys that click and clunk away.

Great idea for a library.

Re: How do you listen to mobile games?

Or GTA Vice City in a waiting room, I will have the music off and sound effects really low. I am currently playing the Walking Dead on iPad and also Limbo - I l...

Re: Idea Pool for A New Crowdsourced Library

I would most definitely have to get creative with a Winter library, as I would be a victim of the rain issue too.

I am hoping that the vote switches to room tones really, as you can never have enough of those.

So excited for this game, especially after playing Outlast, I think horror games are finally getting the comeback they deserve.

Re: What An Electromagnetic Field Surrounding You Sounds Lik

I recorded a library of radio sounds for a company once - but used a pickup coil microphone. This thing looks a lot more sensitive and versatile. Will be keeping an eye on the product for sure, as these radio static sounds are very useful. Thanks for letting us know of its existence.

Re: Home Listening Setup

Ha I am currently going through all the older threads that I missed. I rock a solid 5.1 system at home for all my T.V and Video gaming etc. Couldn't go back to stereo after having surround. My Amplifier supports 7.1 with an additional 2 outputs for "presence" - so buying 4 more satellites is my next...

Re: How a neighborhood in Brazil sounds during the World Cup

Wow that's intense!! I can hear the roars of people here in london when I am outside etc, but that is crazy. Imagine living in that apartment during this tournament, would drive me up the wall I think. Although plenty of recording options ;-)

Re: Showreels and Copyright

Thanks Nick, Points have been taken on board. There's no way around getting my previous work up or in fact getting credited for it, all of these things were tied into my contract, and being overly excited and eager to gain the position, I overlooked them as having a lasting effect on my career - Hop...
