Re: The "World Ambience SFX Library"

So it's been pretty much a month since sign ups started and we have 70 people to go until we reach our contributor goal of 200. I'm giving us until the end of September to reach our goal so the project doesn't become stagnant. It's the final stretch and we have until September 30th to get there. Mak...

Re: The "World Ambience SFX Library"

I'm in! I live in Washington, DC and could probably get some ambience from significant U.S. landmarks (Congress, Lincoln Memorial, White House lobby, etc.). Or, anything else that may be of interest. Sounds like a fantastic project! Let me know how to proceed. That sounds great! More info will be s...

A Chorus of Whale Calls

Pretty cool new findings with whale calls and mating patterns. “It’s not like a songbird’s song, designed to attract a female and repel other males. The humpbacks’ songs are meant to attract females to the arena.” That is, they tell the gals where the boys are. And another voice, even one of a young...

Re: The "World Ambience SFX Library"

Is editing and layering allowed, or should it be one original stream? You can top and tail the file but don't design anything or add extra elements. This will be a pure RAW recording library. Feel free to edit out mic bumps and stuff like that though. So in short, editing is allowed and it should b...
