Can you postpone the deadline to sept 1st? Think a lot of people can use their summer holiday for recording, at least i would...

I'd appreciate that since I would be able to participate then as well. :)

I'm currently in a very wet and windy UK, and finding it a little hard to find some inspiration to record something- there's generally too much happening around, even in a supposedly empty forest. Was just wondering if anyone had any tips, or what they were trying. I found a bunch of trees in a logging are and recorded a bit of wood impacts, but then realized that there's no leaves involved so it's not foliage.
Did get caught in marsh and as I already ruined my shoes decided to go ahead and record squishy footsteps through grassy water. Still to prune through that, hopefully something comes out and the wind wasn't an issue.

Maybe I need to bring something indoors? That's my only other thought.

I recorded my stuff in the middle of winter in a very rural area, so it was quite quiet. You could totally try bringing something indoors though and getting a performance out of it! I've done that before as well.

I got rid of most of the distracting sounds by recording at night. Also, I managed to forget about my sampling rate, so my recordings are in 48 kHz - but thankfully, there are a few days left :)

Ah ship... I missed that 96 khz was a requirement instead of a recommendation. Nuts.
