What's the Best Audio Editing Software for Newbies?

Post by dslrjunkie » October 7th, 2015, 11:56 pm

Hi guys! I'm really new to editing and I'm planning to record and edit our class greetings (audio only) which we will compile and send to our class advisor on her Birthday 2 weeks from now. We'd like to surprise her. Any ideas on where to best edit this? like what software? I want to put some background music too. Thanks! :)

Are you looking for something free? Audacity might just be the way to go.

Thank you for Audacity. :)
But without thinking into consideration if it's free or not (I can always find a crack/serial in torrent, lol), what would be your best suggestion for me?

I think you'll be hard pressed to find someone here that will support illegal software use. I would ramp up on Audacity to get the basics down or download a trial of something else.
