Hey guys,

I'm looking to put together a 6U modular synth. I've been reading a bit about it and I was wondering what some of your more obscure/fun modules are. I'll mostly be using this for sound design so anything that makes a nice squelch or vocal quality would be cool. Feel free to share some pictures of your setup as well!

These look pretty cool to me:

I just started building a eurorack synth. Even though its a video system it creates and processes audio as well. I will most likely expand it to include many more modules. The great thing about the eurorack systems is the wide variety of strange and interesting modules available. Everything from classic clones of EMS, Moog, ARP, and Buchla, to very strange drone makers. If you are into making strange sounds I would recommend a Wiard Wogglebug and Borg FIlter. Very interesting sounds out of the box. I remember reading years back how Skip Livsay used a wogglebug to create sci fi tones for Men in Black 2.

Sweet! That sounds pretty nice. How big is your system so far?

You should definitely check out the Make Noise modules. They do a version of the Wiard Wogglebug and their Echophon module is a unique approach to echo and pitch shifting FX.

I'm lucky enough to have a Buchla 200e modular which I use with the above modules too.

Some examples of my Buchla can be heard here
